The\u00a0Association<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0Universities<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Montevideo\u00a0<\/span>Group<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(AUGM), established in 1991, is comprised of member institutions from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay, UFSM being one of the founding institutions.<\/p> The program provides opportunities for international academic mobility at various levels and in different areas among the participating institutions, establishing strategic alliances and offering cultural enrichment for the participants. The program\u2019s objectives include spreading and improving knowledge, enriching participants\u2019 professional and personal development, and contributing to institutional development through international experiences. Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and have completed at least 40% of the program\u2019s mandatory workload, besides demonstrating basic Portuguese language skills. The home institution provides financial assistance for transportation, whereas UFSM offers housing and food.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
