The Brazilian Program for Exchange Students \u2013 Undergraduate Level (PEC-G) offers international students free admission to complete undergraduate degrees in Brazil. Courses are available in all fields of knowledge. There are no tuition or admission fees. PEC-G is an official initiative of the Brazilian government coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Education (MEC) in partnership with participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), including UFSM.<\/p>
Benefits:<\/strong><\/p> PEC-PLE<\/strong><\/p> All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in Portuguese to be enrolled in PEC-G. The Celpe-Bras certificate is an official exam that assesses your fluency in Brazilian Portuguese. The test is available in several countries, including Brazil.<\/p> If you need the Celpe-Bras certificate to apply to PEC-G and cannot take the exam in your country, you must apply to the Brazilian Program for Exchange Students \u2013 Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PEC-PLE), in addition to applying to PEC-G.<\/p> As a PEC-PLE student, you will spend your first year in Brazil taking a free Portuguese language and Brazilian culture course in order to prepare you to take the Celpe-Bras exam.
