Comandos para ligar nodos remotamente

  • Para ligar os nodos remotamente, basta logar no servidor labtmc e digitar no terminal o comando correspondente para:

    Ligar cpus quadcore (0 a 6)

  • Para desligar os nodos remotamente, basta logar no respectivo nodo e digitar no terminal o comando desligar

Cluster Open MP

 

Para rodar o cluster-openmp, crie um arquivo chamado mpd.hosts, o qual contém o nome dos nodos:

Ex: nedit mpd.hosts

e escreva

compute-0-0

compute-0-1

Crie também o arquivo kmp_cluster.ini, contendo a seguinte linha:

–process_threads=2 –processes=2 –hostfile=mpd.hosts –launch=ssh –sharable_heap=100M

(as variáveis podem ser ajustadas).

Coloque os arquivos mpd.hosts e kmp_cluster.ini na mesma pasta onde está o programa. Em seguida, acesse o nodo que está no cabeçalho do arquivo mpd.hosts e rode o programa com:

ifort -cluster-openmp programa.f

Expensão do uso da memória

  • Para expandir o uso da memória, no terminal faça:

ulimit -s 2048000

export KMP_STACKSIZE=2048000000

(É necessário refazer o comando a cada login.)

  • Para rodar programas que exigem muita memória RAM,  faça:

ifort -mcmodel=XXX  -shared-intel program.f

onde XXX pode ser  "small", "medium" ou "large" . O comando  -shared-intel é usado para processadores intel.

Desabilitar Hard Boot:

How do I disable the feature that reinstalls compute nodes after a hard reboot?

When compute nodes experience a hard reboot (e.g., when the compute node is reset by pushing the power button or after a power failure), they will reformat the root file system and reinstall their base operating environment.

To disable this feature:

Login to the frontend

Create a file that will override the default:

# cd /export/rocks/install

# cp rocks-dist/arch/build/nodes/auto-kickstart.xml \

site-profiles/6.1.1/nodes/replace-auto-kickstart.xml

Where arch is "i386" or "x86_64".

Edit the file site-profiles/6.1.1/nodes/replace-auto-kickstart.xml

Remove the line:

<package>rocks-boot-auto<package>

Rebuild the distribution:

# cd /export/rocks/install

# rocks create distro

Reinstall all your compute nodes

Note

An alternative to reinstalling all your compute nodes is to login to each compute node and execute:

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/rocks-grub stop

# /sbin/chkconfig --del rocks-grub

Instalar freenx server:

Currently there is a version of NX and FreeNX in the CentOS Extras repository for both CentOS 5 and CentOS 6.

nano /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo

To install the stable version of NX / FreeNX, issue this command from the server:

[root@server ~]# yum install nx freenx

Admin – Config. Para desligar remoto:

chmod a+s /sbin/shutdown

O professor Dr. Jonas Maziero, do Departamento de Física da UFSM, foi um dos três vencedores do Grande Prêmio Capes de Tese de Doutorado de 2013. O resultado da premiação foi divulgado pelo ministro da Educação, Aloízio Mercadante, durante a cerimônia de entrega do Prêmio Capes de Tese de Doutorado de 2013, realizada no dia 13 de dezembro, em Brasília.

Nesta edição do Prêmio Capes de Tese de Doutorado foram selecionadas 48 teses vencedoras, dentre as 645 teses submetidas ao prêmio. O Grande Prêmio Capes de Tese de Doutorado é outorgado para a melhor tese de doutorado selecionada em cada um dos três grupos de grandes áreas do conhecimento do CNPq.

A tese de Maziero, intitulada “Quantificação, Dinâmica, Testemunho e Aplicações da Discórdia Quântica”, foi realizada junto ao Programa da Pós-Graduação em Física da Universidade Federal do ABC, sob a orientação do Prof. Dr. Roberto M. Serra e com a colaboração de vários grupos, experimentais e teóricos, nacionais e internacionais. O trabalho resultou em 14 artigos científicos que possuem mais de 800 citações no Google Escolar. Isso confirma a relevância do trabalho para esta ampla área de pesquisa, que é a Ciência da Informação Quântica, e atesta a qualidade do corpo docente da UFSM.

Maziero é professor do departamento de Física desde outubro de 2013 e pesquisador do Grupo de Teoria da Matéria Condensada da UFSM.
